Business case justification

Knowing that an information management project has business value is one thing – proving it to all stakeholders, and in particular the ‘non technical’ executives who will sign off the budget, is quite another.

Explaining the approach

Bramble.cc is highly experienced at helping senior project sponsors to justify the investment in an information management initiative. We know that, however sound the technology is, without a solid business case that clearly outlines the anticipated costs and benefits, a project might not even get off the ground.

Impact and benefits

Our experienced consultants combine their in-depth information management experience and knowledge with good business judgement. We work with project sponsors and managers to rigorously define, outline and test the business case for a project. Costs are relatively unambiguous, but selecting the benefits and estimating their value depends on understanding the objectives and circumstances of an organisation, its priorities and the key drivers for change.

Consequently we aim to start every assessment of benefits by engaging with senior managers to ensure that it is the organization’s perception of value that is built into the benefits selected, and that they will support a successful business case. We therefore offer, even before we are contracted to support our customers, to facilitate a meeting of senior managers, in workshop form, to help them (and us and the project manager or sponsor) to clarify what is really wanted.
