Information Asset Register (IAR) toolkit

meeting overview

An information asset register is a categorization of the information for which an organisation is responsible. It should use the same main forms of categorization that are used in general information management, for example, type, location and subject. In addition, an IAR may also detail specific categories for compliance, such as information sensitivity or legislative requirements.

With these requirements in mind, and using Bramble.cc approach and guidelines, a toolkit has been developed to identify information assets, assess their sensitivity and provide reuse of information for future development.

Bramble.cc will utilise this toolkit to help organizations identify gaps and meet the Cross Government Guidelines: Minimum Mandatory Measures and while also providing components for an information architecture.
